RCTC Monsoon Meeting Day 1 Results: Racing Halted After Three Events

The RCTC Monsoon Meeting Day 1 Results are in, as Tuesday’s racing began on a promising note but was ultimately cut short after three completed events. Held at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club on July 29, the opening day featured some sharp sprint performances before torrential rain and unsafe underfoot conditions forced officials to abandon the remainder of the card.

The Stewards issued the following official statement:
“Due to heavy underfoot condition not being conducive for racing, the Stewards of the RCTC have decided to cancel the remaining races of the day.”

The day’s early end may have been disappointing for racing enthusiasts, but the safety-first approach was both prudent and necessary.
