The 19th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting began with a competitive opener as My Solitaire secured victory in the Amazing Grace Plate, run over 1400 metres at the Bangalore Turf Club. Scheduled at 2:00 pm, the race was a handicap for horses rated 00 to 25, six years old and over, offering a total prize purse of ₹4,50,000.
Trained by S. Shoban Babu and ridden by Antony Raj S., My Solitaire produced a strong finishing run, clocking 1:31.43 to land the first race of the afternoon. The winner is owned by Mr. Ramesh R, whose team celebrated a well-deserved start to the day’s proceedings.
Finishing a close second was Flamingo Dream, partnered by V. R. Jagadeesh and trained by S. Inayathulla, who pushed forward in the final stretch to clock 1:31.60, just 0.17 seconds behind the winner. It was a game effort in a tightly contested finish.
Completing the top three was Embosom, trained by V. Lokanath and ridden by Vivek G., who stayed on well to register a timing of 1:31.79. The trio was closely bunched at the wire, highlighting the competitiveness of the field.
With the opener concluded, attention now shifts to the second race on the card, the Bold Gesture Plate, a whipless race scheduled at 2:35 pm. The day promises further excitement as action unfolds at the Bangalore Turf Club.
