The curtain came down on the 18th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting with the Indian Pattern Committee Trophy Div II, a 1200-meter handicap race for horses rated 20 to 45. Held at 5:20 pm, the finale offered a prize purse of ₹5,10,000 and delivered an exciting dash to the wire under fading daylight and lingering excitement.
The tote-favourite, Flaming Sword, trained by S. Dominic and ridden confidently by P. Trevor, surged ahead in the final meters to clinch victory in a sharp timing of 1:13.06. Racing in the silks of Mr. C. Aryama Sundaram, the winner delivered a strong closing burst to cap the day on a high note for the team.
Slice Of Luck, trained by M. Rajendra Singh and guided by K. Sai Kiran, fought gallantly to finish second in 1:13.66 for owner Mrs. Esha N. Hariraj.
Completing the top three was Eclipse Pulse, trained by Azhar Ali and partnered by Vivek G., who finished with a timing of 1:13.78. Representing Mr. Aziz A. Jaffer and Mr. Roopesh S.
With the final race concluded and the stands beginning to empty, the spirit of celebration remained intact. All eyes now shift to the next racing day at Bangalore Turf Club, scheduled for July 19, 2025.
