Newmarket Racecourse is all set to host the Debenhams July Festival this summer, a three-day spectacle brimming with fashion, speed, and top-tier racing. Running from July 10th to 12th, 2025, the festival begins with Ladies Day, followed by Festival Friday on July 11th, and concludes with the highly anticipated July Cup Day on July 12th.
The opening day, Ladies Day, promises a dazzling fusion of fashion and racing. Style-conscious fans will descend in their finest attire, extravagant dresses, sharp suits, and elaborate hats, transforming the venue into a runway of elegance. Gates open at 11:50 am, welcoming racegoers to a packed card of seven thrilling contests.
Racing kicks off at 1:50 pm with the Bahrain Trophy Stakes (Group 3), a stamina-testing contest over 1 mile and 5 furlongs. This year’s notable contenders include FURTHUR, HALLELUJAH, NIGHTIME DANCER, SCANDINAVIA, and TITANIUM EMPEROR.
At 2:25 pm, it’s time for a high-octane dash in the Kingdom of Bahrain July Stakes (Group 2) over 6 furlongs. Expect sparks to fly between top juveniles like BRUSSELS, COMICAL POINT, DO OR DO NOT, JEL PEPPER, MAXIMIZED, and ZAVATERI.
Next up at 3:00 pm is the Heritage Handicap, a competitive 6-furlong event featuring a large field. At 4:10 pm, raw potential takes the stage in the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes. Over 6 furlongs, unexposed fillies such as COININ CAISC, COUNTRY ARTISTE, CRIMSON ROSE, ENAMORUS, HARLEQUIN ANGEL, LADY LUCKY VEGAS, NIGHT SHINING, PRINCESS BILLYBOY, and WELCOME RETREAT will chase their first win.
At 4:45 pm, the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes, sponsored by Edmondson Hall Solicitors, offers a testing 1-mile run featuring OPERA BALLO, ARABIAN STORY, BRIAN, ELARAK, KING OF CITIES, ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT, SEAGULLS ELEVEN, and SPECTACULAR VIEW.
