Trained by Stephen Marsh, Velocious carved out an exceptional resume as a two-year-old, notching four wins from six starts, including multiple victories at stakes level. Her most notable triumph came in the Group 1 Sistema Stakes, a prestigious contest that only a select few fillies have captured in the past two decades. Along the way, she outperformed high-calibre rivals such as Captured By Love, Savaglee, and Archaic Smile, further underscoring her natural brilliance.
Her emphatic win in the $1 million Karaka 2YO Million was a standout moment, where she surged ahead by over two lengths, defeating a string of eventual stakes performers.
