The second race of Pune Meeting 2025, The Maddox Plate, a Class IV contest for Indian horses rated 20 to 46 over 1000 metres, thrilled racing fans on Friday, 24th October 2025, at 2:00 PM, as Foxy (J: A. Sandesh, T: Behram Cama) delivered a commanding performance to clinch victory in 0:57:365. Racing in the colours of Mr Jaydev M Mody rep. J M Livestock Pvt Ltd, Foxy displayed a blend of speed and composure to dominate a competitive field.
From the gates, Foxy broke sharply and quickly settled in a stalking position, tracking the early leader before launching a decisive turn of foot in the final 200 metres. With impeccable timing from jockey A. Sandesh, Foxy surged past the field, asserting control in the home stretch to secure a clear-cut win. The winner’s measured acceleration and tactical positioning left rivals chasing shadows.
Majestic Warrior (J: Avinash Paswan, T: Narendra Lagad) fought valiantly to claim second in 0:57:550, keeping Foxy within striking distance throughout the sprint. Vienneoise (J: A. Omkar, T: Bezan Chenoy) ran a solid race to take third in 0:57:765, rounding off a closely contested top three.
With the crowd still buzzing from the sprint spectacle, attention now turns to The To The Manor Born Plate Div I, scheduled for 2:30 PM, promising another exciting test of speed and strategy.
